16th Operation Lifesaver International Symposium and Training Seminars

The 16th Operation Lifesaver International Symposium and Training Seminars will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Baltimore, Maryland.

Operation Lifesaver says that this leadership conference will be packed with helpful information, inspiring speakers, and refresher training for key highway-rail safety and trespass prevention officials.

The 12th International Conference on Computer System Design and Operation in the Railway and other Transit Systems (COMPRAIL 2010)

This conference which is to be held in Beijing, China aims to update the use of computer-based techniques, promoting their general awareness throughout the business management, design, manufacture and operation of railways and other advanced passenger, freight and transit systems.

The meeting provides a forum for engineers, planners, designers, manufacturers and operators, to discuss how they can benefit from the latest developments. It will also provide a forum for transit and rail operators.

The conference will be of interest to all have an interest in the development and application of computer techniques for the solution of problems in the railway and other mass transit systems.

Operation Lifesaver Canada Annual Conference

Operation Lifesaver Canada is holding its Annual Conference and Technology / Services Showcase on September 15th, 2010. The conference will be held at the Chateau Cartier Resort, Gatineau, Quebec (just over the river from Ottawa.

The Operation Lifesaver Canada golf tournament will be hosted on Tuesday, September 14th, 2010 at the same venue and will be followed by a pre-conference dinner.

It would assist the organizers if those planning to attend could register by August 23rd, 2010.

The 11th Global Level Crossing Symposium, organised by East Japan Railway (JR East) is to be held in Tokyo, Japan. Key dates are

  • February 28th, 2010: Deadline of the submission of the abstract of papers
  • June 30th, 2010: Confirmation of accepted abstracts
  • August 31st, 2010: Deadline for conference registration
  • September 30th, 2010: Deadline of the submission of the full paper
